Hey Backers!
This update is going to have a lot of information, but before we get started, we’d like to share a message from the team.
When determining the original production timelines and fulfillment estimates for Heckna, we didn’t accurately take into account the length, toll and impact the pandemic would have not only on the project, but on the wellbeing of our freelancers and team members and how that would be reflected in the rollout of rewards. Combined with regular, anticipated project delays, it’s safe to say that we’re behind schedule.
We’d like to apologize for not meeting the original expectations that we set for Heckna. We’re so grateful for the patience and understanding you’ve all offered us and truly get any frustration or disappointment you may have regarding delays. We’re committed to sacrificing you to Hec...er, getting you to The Revelia as soon as we’re able.
To address this, the team sat down last week to discuss the timelines and get an accurate assessment of the production schedule. With a more realistic timeline laid out, we wanted to make it available for backers ASAP (as we know we’ve been talking about a beta release for a few months now, it’ll be worth the wait!).
Writing/Editing

Beta Release
With the writing in mind and where things are at with editing, we are planning on releasing design light versions of the documents along with a survey.
The Survey: With every release, we'll be sending a survey along so we can get your feedback to make sure this is the best book we can possibly make! Any and all feedback is welcome. There will be a 2 week period for each section as they come out.

May 10 - Appendices (Monsters, NPCS, etc)

Any additional edits from those reviews will be roped into the final design timeline.
Art/Design
A lot of the art and design is already on the way. At this point, the art is around 66% complete. With the revisions and edits to the later chapters still ongoing, we anticipate having an art sprint endJuly 16, 2021.
With that in mind, design ofthe final bookis set to be completed byAugust 16,2021, and prepped for production.
Digital release of the final design would be in September2021.
Production
From the end of design to receiving the product at our doorsteps, we're looking at 3 months, including the freight from the end of the book design.
We anticipate having everything (minus the miniatures) in the warehouse by December 15th.
Minis
Minis take forever to produce—from the completion of the models to the completion of the run, it's around 8 months. It is likely any order with minis will be fulfilled in Jan.2022, aswe anticipate getting them in the warehouse by mid-January, 2022.

Please keep in mind, fulfillment will likely take 3-4 months because of the number of orders. That, in conjunction with Covid, makes it difficult to pinpoint how quickly we'll be able to tackle fulfillment. As we near this date we'll create a release list so everyone knows the schedule we're working from.

The 750k comic stretch goal has officially been unlocked through BackerKit! We’re so excited to work with Gail Simone on this project and can’t wait to share more stories from The Revelia with you. Thank you to everyone who pledged and preordered to help us reach this goal!

Got some new progress that we'd like to share on the book, minis and more!
Book/PDF Progress
We have some news on the writing front! The entire book is currently under revision. We’ve brought on a secondary writer as well as a new editor to help with development and content edits during this revision process! Right now, we anticipate that should be done by the end of March, which means we can look at releasing the beta within the weeks following wrapping up those edits.
We know we had an earlier estimate in the past, but we really want to make sure everything is up to snuff before it gets released. Thank you for your patience! We’ll keep you updated on the revision process.

Happy new year, backers! Here’s our first update of 2021 with some more information on editing for the beta release, a look at some fresh minis designs and a closer look at the Tunnel of Love!
Book/PDF Progress
In our last update, we mentioned our editing team was hard at work with some major development edits and revisions. Some less fun news is that revisions are still ongoing, but we also have good news! We’re looking at bringing on another writer to help with this process.
Though we don’t have a date for the beta release just yet, with more hands-on deck it will come sooner rather than later. Thanks for your patience!

The Tunnel of Love is one of The Revelia’s most iconic rides--just ask the many Plasma Punks who loiter outside! Try to ignore their teasing, that outfit looks great on you, actually.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times. Consume the contents of the red river (probably wine) at your own discretion.

Hey backers!
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy as we approach the end of a year more fitting to experience in The Revelia! Here’s a quick update on some of the progress we’ve made since wrapping up the campaign.
Book/PDF Progress
The writing is done! (Whoo!) The next step is editing. Heckna is currently undergoing some reconstructive surgery (Sophie may or may not be involved) with a major round of developmental edits and revisions, which the team anticipates to be complete by the end of the year. Once this is complete, we can look towards releasing a beta version.

Minis Update
Our artists are currently still working to build the remaining minis and are eager to share some models with you once they’re complete! We know many of you are waiting patiently for a look at a few more of the minis before completing your survey. Rest assured, we want to make sure that we provide a preview of a couple more before locking surveys to ensure everyone who is interested in minis gets the opportunity to add them to their pledge.
